David and Pauline Burch, brother and sister-in-law of former UCCA president Peter Burch, were in town from their home outside London for Peter’s son’s wedding in April.
They asked to visit the memorial fountain at Marcy Park and were thrilled with the results and the lovely bronze plaque with the donors’ names. Joining them for the visit were Barry Bernstein and Lucy, Barbara Henshaw, Hallie Burch and Barclay, Barbara Mauro, Ernie and Sandy Lippe.

September 21, 2013: The passing in September 2012 of UCCA’s president Peter Burch was memorialized today in Marcy Park by a sparkling new dog and owner fountain. The ribbon cutting ceremony was attended by over 70 members of the community and UCCA including San Diego Council Woman Sherri Lightner.
