Less than one week to register to vote or change voter status

Register to VoteYou have less than week to register to vote or change your voter registration status in the June 7 Presidential Primary Election.

Here are the two important deadlines that are approaching:

Monday, May 23 – Deadline to register or change your registration
Tuesday, May 31 – Deadline to apply for mail ballot

If you’re not sure whether you’re registered or what party you’re registered with, check your registration status online at http://www.sdvote.com/content/rov/en/Registration.html.

You’re urged to check your registration status if you want to vote for president. If you are registered with a political party that is different from the presidential candidate you want to vote for, you will need to register to vote with that party by Monday, May 23.
