november-9UCCA BOARD ELECTION, 5:30 to 7:30 PM, Wednesday, November 9, at the Community Library, 4155 Governor Drive.

At its November 9 meeting, University City Community Association (UCCA) will be holding elections for the following officer positions:

  • Vice President: The Vice President shall assume the duties of the President in the absence of the President, shall automatically fill the unexpired term of the President if the President should resign and shall assist the President with the duties of the office of the President. In the event that the association is without a Parliamentarian, the Vice President shall assume those duties.
  • President: The President shall preside at all meeting of the corporation and the Executive Board. The President shall be an ex-officio member on all committees except the nominating committee. The President shall have the power to appoint, subject to ratification by the elected officers, a corresponding secretary, membership secretary, parliamentarian and any other chairpersons. The President shall perform any other duties pertaining to the office.
  • Secretary: The Secretary shall keep an accurate account of the meetings of the corporation and the Executive Committee. The Secretary shall be the custodian of the corporation’s records and at all times shall have a current copy of the minutes.
  • Treasurer: The Treasurer shall be the custodian of all the funds, disbursing the funds at the direction of the Executive Committee. All checks must be signed by two parties consisting of any of the officers. The Treasurer shall make a financial report at each general meeting and at any Executive Committee meetings. The Treasurer shall file all appropriate tax statements at the correct times required to maintain the non-profit status of the corporation.

In order to run for office, a candidate must be a UCCA member is good standing and have attended at least two UCCA meetings during the calendar year. UCCA ELECTION NOTICE

On November 9, 5:30-7:30pm, at the University City Community Branch Library on Governor Drive, University City Community Association (UCCA) will be electing its officers for the 2017 calendar year.

The proposed slate is:

  • President –Barry Bernstein
  • Vice-President –Diane Ahern
  • Secretary –Karen Martinez
  • Treasurer –Don Hotz

Additional nominations will be received from the floor at the election meeting.

In order to run for office, you must be a member in good standing and have attended at least two UCCA meetings during this calendar year.
