Share

Mt. Soledad National Veterans Memorial honors all Veterans on Saturday, November 8th, 2025, at 11:00 AM; and commemorates the 250th anniversaries of the U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps.

This special ceremony celebrates the profound bond between these two services and San Diego, recognizing how their combined presence transformed San Diego into a military stronghold.

This year features a tribute to Commander Theodore Gordon “Spuds” Ellyson, the Navy’s first aviator, and General Joseph Pendleton, MCRD San Diego’s first commanding officer, whose pioneering work during the critical 1916-1920 era laid the foundation for the thriving military community of today.

Experience the story of how sea and shore united to forge America’s Finest City, where generations of service members have called home and where their legacy continues to inspire future defenders of our nation. For more information, visit: https://soledadmemorial.org/veterans-day-2025/
