UC Mobility Ideas: Share your insight on transportation in University City

Share

From Melissa Garcia, City of San Diego Planning Department :

Mobility IdeasThe City of San Diego needs your help to identify transportation improvements for the University Community.

Ideas will be reviewed and considered for inclusion in the amendment to the Transportation Element of the University Community Plan (UCP).

The amendment will incorporate the General Plan Goals into the community plan as they relate to the vision, values and the City of Villages strategy and the provision of public facilities, analyze the impacts of the removal of Genesee Avenue Widening and the Regents Road Bridge from the UCP, and consider any additional issues identified through the amendment process.

After you review the traffic study, posted at https://www.universitycitynews.org/2016/01/29/regents-and-genesee-community-plan-amendment-traffic-study/, you can let the Planning Department know how to improve the transportation facilities for all modes of transportation including vehicles, pedestrians, bicycles and transit by completing their mobility questionnaire at http://ucmobilityideas.com.

Here’s how the questionnaire works:

  1. Learn about the University Community Plan Amendment, high demand mobility areas, and planned transportation improvements.
  2. Use the interactive online map to share your ideas on how to improve mobility in the University Community area.
  3. Sign-up to stay informed about the University Community Plan Amendment process by providing your email at the end of the questionnaire.

The questionnaire will remain open until February 19, 2016. Please share this with anyone who may be interested.
