SANDAG Traffic Alert: I-5 Overnight closures scheduled July 17 and July 18

Full overnight closures of Interstate 5 lanes will be in effect tonight (July 17) and tomorrow night (July 18) for crews to continue constructing falsework (the temporary wooden support structures) for the future Trolley overcrossing south of Nobel Drive.

Southbound I-5 July 17:

  • Full closure of southbound I-5 lanes from the I-5/I-805 Interchange to La Jolla Colony Drive starting Wednesday, July 17, at 9:30 p.m. and continuing through Thursday, July 18, at 5 a.m. Detour routes are available via southbound I-5 to southbound I-805 and westbound SR 52

Northbound I-5 July 18:

  • Full closure of northbound I-5 lanes from SR 52 to La Jolla Village Drive starting Thursday, July 18, at 9:30 p.m. and continuing through Friday, July 19, at 5 a.m. Detour routes are available via northbound I-5 to eastbound SR 52 and northbound I-805
