Sunday, August 7, 2022: Coldwell Banker’s Backpacks for Kids returns to Standley Park

From Colwell Banker’s Katie Dunahoo: Backpacks for Kids Donation Day August 7, 3:00-6:00pm at Standley Park, 3585 Governor Drive. It is once again time to donate backpacks, school supplies, packaged socks and other items that less fortunate children can use to begin their school year.

In conjunction with the Office of Children and Youth in Transition, SDUSD, the UC Agents of Coldwell Banker Realty will collect what you have to offer at Standley Park on Sunday, August 7 between 3:00 and 6:00pm.

Look for our truck parked by Swanson Pool at Standley Park to drop off your contributions. Last year, thanks to the overwhelming support, we filled the truck to overflowing. This abundance provided school supplies for many of the 5000+ students covered by the CHILDREN AND YOUTH IN TRANSITION program.

In addition to school supplies, they have made a special request this year for hygiene products- shampoo, conditioner, bar soap, bodywash, lip balm, lotion, deodorant, toothpaste, hand sanitizer, dental floss, wet wipes, combs, and brushes. Monetary donations accepted.

If for some reason you cannot join us on that Sunday, we are happy to pick up your contribution. Just call/email your Coldwell Banker UC Agent or call our 3959 Governor Drive office at 858.352.6587. We look forward to seeing you on August 7 to thank you for your support of this important project.
