Sherri Lightner, Fire and Police join Food Truck Family Night August 5; All UC residents are urged to show their appreciation for our Police, RSVP and Fire/Rescue Officers – and UC’s Neighborhood Watch Coordinator Barbara Gellman – at Spreckels Elementary near Standley Park from 5:30-6:30 PM


On Wednesday, August 5, UC Neighborhood Watch is partnering with Northern Division’s Community Officer Holly Tafoya, Captain Mark Hanten and Fire/Rescue Station 35 and special guest City Council President Sherri Lightner to join the fun at Food Truck Family Night* at Spreckels Elementary from 5:30-6:30 PM. Meet, greet and thank some of San Diego’s finest, including UC’s Neighborhood Watch Coordinator Barbara Gellman.

Bring the kids, bring the whole family! Get your meals from our wheels … and more!

  • Check out some of the newest police vehicles and equipment, fire/rescue truck and more!
  • Visit with Council President Sherri Lightner and Northern Division’s Captain Mark Hanten & Lt. Tina Williams.
  • Bring your own chairs and/or blankets if you’d like to eat on site.
  • Giveaways include reflective bracelets (great for early morning and evening walkers) to the first 200 visitors to the Neighborhood Watch table.
