Veterans Memorial Service at Miramar National Cemetery May 29

VA Cemetary Avenue of FlagsThe annual Veterans Memorial Service is scheduled at 1:00 PM, Sunday, May 29, at Miramar National Cemetery. Active duty military, veterans, family members, and members of the public are invited to attend the free event.

The featured speaker will be Maj. Gen. Joseph M. Martin, commanding general, Army National Training Center and Fort Irwin, California. The guest speaker will be Ed Berger, San Diego Veteran of the Year.

Parking will be available on the Avenue of Flags and on cemetery streets. The service will include recognition of veterans groups, the 40th Infantry Division band, and a color guard.
