In an effort to protect the health and safety of the public while continuing to provide essential services, the City of San Diego is instituting a number of measures to limit further spread of the novel coronavirus known as COVID-19, and ease potential economic hardship for those affected by the disease.   • From City of San Diego, March 13, 2020: City to close libraries, recreation centers and pools from March 16 to April 6. For more information, visit
  • From San Diego Public Library March 13, 2020 @SDPublicLibrary : In line with County health guidelines to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the San Diego Public Library has canceled all programs and events.
