Update 7/26/2021: Councilmember Joe LaCava is expected to attend Monday evening’s subcommittee meeting to talk about the expanded city plan for traffic calming on Governor Drive.


From Planning Group UCPG chair Chris Nielsen: The rescheduled UCPG subcommittee for Governor Drive Traffic Calming will be on Monday, July 26, 2021,  at 6PM.

This is a UCPG subcommittee meeting to review the UCPG-approved proposal for traffic calming on Governor Drive between Stadium and Radcliffe, since expanded to between Stresemann and Radcliffe. This subcommittee is open to the public.

6:00 – 1. Call the Meeting to Order: Chris Nielsen, Subcommittee Chair.

– 2. Agenda: Call for additions / deletions: Adoption.

– 3. Non-Agenda Public Comment. Two-minute limit.

6:05 – 4. Action Item: Proposal and timeline review. At the June UCPG meeting a proposal for traffic calming on Governor Dr. between Stadium and Radcliffe was recommended by the UCPG to our Council office. [For background, refer to DRAFT minutes of the June 2021 UCPG meeting at which UCPC for considered the Traffic Calming Proposal for the two blocks between Stadium and Radcliffe on Governor Drive in front of the schools and Standley Park at 2021_06_08_Minutes_DRAFT (1)] The limits of this project have since been expanded to between Stresemann and Radcliffe. The purpose of this meeting is to review the proposal in detail and make any further recommendations to the UCPG for approval at its August 10 meeting.
