Pure Water CONSTRUCTION NOTICE beginning Monday, May 23, 2022

From Pure Water University City: Beginning on Monday, May 23, through the next several weeks, the City of San Diego’s contractor will be conducting exploratory work, called potholing, on Nobel Drive and Towne Centre Drive from Genesee Avenue to La Jolla Village Drive as part of the Morena Northern Pipelines and Tunnels project.

The work will provide the City’s contractor with the confirmation of the exact location and depth of existing utilities in the public right-of-way before pipeline construction begins.

What to Expect:

  • On Nobel Drive from Genesee Avenue to Towne Centre Drive, work will occur during the day from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm Monday to Friday and will last several weeks.
  • On Towne Centre Drive from Nobel Drive to La Jolla Village Drive, work will occur during the day from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. from Monday to Friday and will last several weeks.
  • This work will include construction noise.
  • Two-way traffic will be maintained (one lane in each direction) on both Nobel Drive and Towne Centre Drive. For safety, lane closures around active work zones will be in place.
