Courtesy of Sarah Bowles, Community Outreach Specialist, Pure Water San Diego: Progress is being made for the Morena Northern Pipelines & Tunnels project in University City. On Towne Centre Drive between Towne Centre Gateway and Golden Haven, work is ongoing, and over 655 linear feet of pipeline has been installed.
On Genesee Avenue from Governor Drive to Luigi Terrace, 581 linear feet of pipeline has been installed. Crews will continue in this section and will reach the area on the south end of the University City High School (UCHS) by February. We have stayed in touch with UCHS and others and have not received any questions/concerns.
There is rain in the forecast, so we are being conservative with our estimates.
