The University Community Planning Group (UCPG) will meet Tuesday, May 12, 2026, in hybrid format with Zoom option at 6 PM.

I don’t have meeting minutes ready to approve from April 14.  These will be done for the June meeting. We have a “short” agenda this month.

Item # 6 – We have an action item (#6) to approve approximately $80 for a UCPG booth at the “UC Celebration” event on July 4 at Standley Park.  We usually set up by 11AM and remove the booth around 3:30PM.  I would like some volunteers for an hour or two to help me with the booth.  It’s fun and informative meeting your UC neighbors!

Item #7 is an announcement that ALL voting members of the UCPG board must take the City’s Community Organization Worker (“COW”) training once a year.  The agenda lists two ways to do this: the “live” (via Zoom) seminar at 7PM on Wednesday May 27 or take the COW training on the referenced link in the agenda.  This training is live now and satisfies the requirement.

After Pure Water and presentations, we have two items from Alexandria.  First, an action item by Alexandria seeking an Extension of Time (EOT) for the One Alexandria North development, and the second an information item on One Alexandria Square Phase VII.  OAS Phase VII proposes the construction of three R&D buildings, supporting central utility plants, and an amenity building.  Some existing buildings will be demolished.  Mike D’Ambrosia, Alexandria Real Estate, will present.

Next Meeting will be on June 9, 2026, located at Alexandria’s GradLabs, 9880 Campus Point Drive, 6PM, third floor Terranova conference room. This will be a hybrid meeting using Zoom.
