Pure Water Open HouseWe just want to remind you that you are invited to the Pure Water Day Open House this Saturday, October 22, 2016.

As you probably know, a future project related to the Pure Water Program called the North City Pure Water Program Pump Station and Pipeline will affect your area. This project will deliver 30 million gallons per day of purified water to Miramar Reservoir, where it will blend with the City’s imported and local water sources before it is treated again at the Miramar Drinking Water Treatment Plant and distributed to the public.

Bring your family and friends to the Open House for free snow cones, popcorn, fun and great information about the Pure Water Facility. This exciting event will give you ample information about the City’s Pure Water Program and you will have the chance to taste the purified water.

The Pure Water Program will produce 1/3 of San Diego’s water supply locally using proven technology to clean recycled water.

Tours last approximately one hour and include an introductory presentation and a walking tour of the facility. At the end of the tour, participants have the opportunity to taste a sample of the purified water.

The demonstration Pure Water Facility is located at the North City Water Reclamation Plant, off the I-805 and Miramar Road at 4949 Eastgate Mall, San Diego, CA 92121.

Tours are offered in late morning and early afternoon. You must register in advance for a tour and some time slots are already full. If you are interested in attending, please RSVP by Thursday, October 20, 2016 to confirm your tour spot at www.purewatersd.org/tours.
