Message to University City: SHERRI LIGHTNER City Council, District 1

Share

Courtesy of Sherri Lightner, City Council President, out-going representative for Council District 1:

sherri-lightner-2It has been my great pleasure to serve as your Councilmember over the past eight years, and I am bittersweet as I leave office.

Throughout my two terms, we accomplished a lot and many of our successes are owed to the community’s involvement and perseverance. Even with all the accomplishments, there is still much work left to be done.

I wish the best of luck to Barbara Bry as the new Councilmember for District 1.

November was a busy month where City Council approved the creation of a Bicycle Advisory Board.

Issues related to transportation in University City (the proposed amendment to the University Community Plan to remove the Regents Road Bridge and Genesee Avenue projects) will be considered by City Council on December 5, 2016 at 2 PM, on the twelfth floor of the City Administration Building at 202 C Street.

We will be working hard until our last day on December 9 as we prepare a transition for the next office.

Thank you again to those that supported me. It was an honor to represent you to the best of my ability.
