From UCCA president Barry Bernstein: I’m happy to announce that the “I ♥ University City” bandanas will be on sale this Sunday,  July 19, 12:00-1:00 at the benches outside of Primos restaurant, next door to Starbucks, at 3202 Governor Drive. The bandanas are available in blue and green with white lettering. We are asking $8.00 each and proceeds go the Scripps Hospital COVID-19 team.  If you have questions or can’t join me on Sunday, please email UCCA at UniversityCityNews@gmail.com

In San Diego and throughout California, current guidance related to COVID-19 urges residents to protect themselves and others by wearing face coverings in many public settings when social distancing cannot be maintained. The coverings help prevent the spread of COVID-19. The San Diego County Health Department indicates that face coverings can be made of cloth.

Homemade coverings, bandanas, scarves and neck gaiters are all OK. Medical grade masks should be saved for healthcare workers. For more from San Diego County, visit https://www.sandiegocounty.gov/coronavirus/
