SDFD Conducts “Over-the-Side” Training in University City

Share

As posted on Facebook @SDFDofficial: In February, Fire Department crews did some over-the-side training using the Lyfe Pulley System on Truck 35 to practice rescuing individuals who end up down an embankment or off the side of a roadway. The training took place in University City on Towne Center Drive. Perhaps you saw them in the air? The aerial ladder extends more than 100 feet up. SDFD crews train regularly in order to be ready to perform a rescue when necessary. For more information and photos, visit https://www.facebook.com/SDFDofficial
