July 8, 9, 10, 2022: It’s Two Summer Movies and a Summer Concert in University City

We warned you; Summer was off to a fast start with the return of the UC Celebration on July 4 at Standley Park. And the fun doesn’t stop. Our 2nd weekend in July in University City includes two Summer Movies and a Summer Concert.

  • Friday, July 8: Summer Movie Clifford the Big Red Dog at Doyle Park, 8175 Regents Rd. A young girl’s love for a tiny puppy named Clifford makes the dog grow to an enormous size. As middle schooler Emily Elizabeth struggles to fit in at home and at school, she discovers a small red puppy who is destined to become her best friend from a magical animal rescuer. Summer Movie will begin at dusk. Bring a blanket, chairs, and your own snacks. Arrive early to meet and greet neighbors and friends and enjoy the park.
  • Saturday, July 9: Summer Movie Encanto at University Village Park, 7100 Florey St. Set against the beautiful backdrop of Columbia, Encanto follows the magical story of the Madrigal family whose members miraculously receive magical gifts which they use to serve the people in their community called “Encanto”, Summer Movie will begin at dusk. Bring a blanket, chairs, and your own snacks. Arrive early to meet and greet neighbors and friends and enjoy the park.
  • Sunday, July 10: Summer Concert Y3K at Standley Park, 3585 Governor Dr. Y3K is a modern dance band specializing in playing current hits from the 80’s, 90’s and today, not just the classic oldies, Y3K is the band for all ages. Summer Concert from 5 to 7 PM. Bring your dancing shoes, a blanket, chairs, and your own snacks. Arrive early to meet and greet neighbors and friends and enjoy the park.
