Wildland firefighting demands a different kind of mindset. Every response involves reading the terrain, wind, weather and brush conditions (or fuels)—factors that drive every tactical decision.
Consistent preparation and training make these operations successful.
We’ve responded to several vegetation fires here in San Diego just this month, including deploying brush rigs to the recent Creelman Fire* in Ramona and numerous personnel, individually or as part of Strike Teams, to support firefighting efforts throughout California, Colorado and Washington.
Taking small steps to prepare yourself today can make a big difference when every second counts. Create an evacuation plan, pack a go-bag, sign up for emergency alerts (AlertSanDiego and Genasys Protect) and harden your home so you can be ready when the next wildfire occurs.
We’ll be here to handle the rest.
