Starting Sunday evening, August 2, striping and street reconfiguration work, including new bike lanes and street parking removal in some areas, will begin along the Pure Water Pipeline project alignment. Crews will start at the south end near Appleton Street and Genesee Avenue in Clairemont and work north through University City.

Paving and striping will occur along most of the Genesee Avenue alignment with new bike lanes extending up to Executive Drive, consistent with the City’s Mobility Master Plan.

Affected streets include Genesee, Nobel, Towne Centre, and the intersections at SR52, Governor, La Jolla Village and Executive Drive.

Work will take place Sunday through Thursday night from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Traffic control will remain in place throughout the work zone, and on-site crews will direct vehicles through intersections as needed.
