Noise Alert for Miramar Air Show 2026: Have you heard? The Miramar Air Show (America’s Air Show) returns to Air Station Miramar.
University City will be in the Air Show “influence area” from Wednesday through Sunday. Residents may experience higher concentrations of fast-moving military aircraft, noise alerts, and temporary flight pattern adjustments.
Residents and visitors should expect to hear and see evidence of Air Show flight operations including explosive and loud sounds as well as aircraft flying overhead on the following days beginning as early as 8 am:
- ⚠️ Wednesday and Thursday, September 23 and 24 – Air Show Rehearsal Days begin as early as 10 AM on Wednesday; US Navy Blue Angels may fly twice on Thursday.
- ➡️ Friday, Saturday, Sunday September 25, 26, 27 – Air Show Days – Open to the public; US Navy Blue Angels are expected to fly around 2:45 pm
Per FAA Flight Notice, U.S. Navy Blue Angels flights approximately:
- Thursday, September 24, 2026: 11:45 AM to 1:45 PM and 2:45 to 4:15 PM
- Friday, September 25, 2026: 2:45 PM to 4:15 PM
- Saturday, September 26, 2026: 2:45 PM to 4:15 PM
- Sunday, September 27, 2026: 2:45 PM to 4:15 PM
Noise Alert: The Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF) demonstration* delivers an unforgettable showcase of aircraft, pyrotechnics, and tactical precision as Marines simulate a battlefield assault adjacent to the MCAS Miramar flight line. Expect to hear and see aircraft and explosive sounds throughout the community during the MAGTF demo.
Noise Alert: Presented by the United States Marine Corps, this year’s show also features the best in military and civilian aviation: the iconic U.S. Navy Blue Angels**, the cutting-edge ***USMC F-35B TAC DEMO, and high-energy civilian performers like Vicky Benzing, Ed Hamill and Emma McDonald. Expect to hear and see aircraft and loud noise throughout the community during the Miramar Air Show.
