Celebrating our Veterans with Ceremonies at Mt. Soledad and Miramar National Cemetery

Share

This month, UCCA salutes all our veterans and active-duty neighbors. We are grateful for your friendship and your service to our country.

  • Saturday, November 7: Veterans Ceremony at Mt Soledad Veterans Memorial in La Jolla. The theme of this year’s Veteran’s Ceremony is Guardians of the Promise – The 250-Year Unbroken Line. Two hundred and fifty years ago, a promise was made to a nation. Not to a king. Not to a crown. A promise to a cause: a Constitution, a people, an idea worth protecting. For two and a half centuries, ordinary men and women have kept that promise. This Veterans Day, we honor them all. Event details and parking information at: soledadmemorial.org
  • Wednesday, November 11: Veterans Day Ceremony at Miramar National Cemetery, 5795 Nobel Dr, November 11, at 4:00 pm. The theme of this year’s Veteran’s Ceremony is A Salute to Special Operations with CAPT Brian Cunningham, U.S. Navy (Ret.), a retired Naval Special Warfare Officer. While on cemetery grounds for the ceremony, visit the Avenue of Flags, the Memorial Walkway, the Veterans Tribute Tower and Carillon, POW Liberation Memorial, and the gravesite of Medal of Honor Recipient, SGT Charles Schroeter, U.S. Army.
