Holiday Lights and Market

New for December Holidays 2026 from UCCA’s President Jemma Samala:

Introducing UCCA’s Holiday Lights & Market. We’re very excited about planning this new holiday tradition for University City. This year it’s on Saturday, December 12, 2026, at Standley Park, from 2 to 6 pm.

We are hoping for an international flair to our market. Ideas are: cookies from girl scouts, mistletoe/wreaths from boy scouts, latkes/dreidel game from the Chabad, brats & hot dogs from softball/baseball, etc. Plus anything to do with lights is great.

To promote the lights atmosphere, we are asking all booths to use solar white holiday lights to decorate your booth – and we encourage lots of holiday booth decorating (there may be a contest).

The Holiday Lights and Market event will also include entertainment, activities for all ages, visits with Santa, and the lighting of a Menorah and Christmas Tree.

And please feel free to forward the info & form to anyone who you think might be interested – we are trying to keep the booths hosted by University City / local groups and crafters.
