Jan 24 Last Chance Survival Guide: Fire Safe Council issues agenda and invite


From President UC Fire Safe Council Louis Rodolico: The University City Fire Safe Council will host its January Zoom Meeting on January 24, 2022, 06:30 PM. The featured speaker and topic will be Rex Hambly, Fire Captain and educator with the Bureau of Land Management, with information from his Last Chance Survival Simulation Workshop. What would you do if you were caught in a fire and could not evacuate? What if you had to shelter in place? Would you know what to do to increase your chances of survival?

  • Introduction of Martha (Marti) Emerald; former SD City Council & current Red Cross Representative
  • Presentation by Rex Hambly who currently serves as a Fire Captain with the Bureau of Land Management. He will present: Last Chance Survival Simulation Workshop; What would you do if you found your evacuation route from wildfire was compromised and no longer viable?
  • Open for comments and questions on the presentation
  • Discussion of UC Fire Safe Council holding a public event/workshop
