From University Community Planning Group (UCPG) Chair Chris Nielsen: I’ve attached the agenda for the UCPG meeting for Tuesday September 9, 2025. This will be a hybrid meeting, in person and on Zoom. Zoom instructions are to be found on the agenda and at the end of this post.

Update re Costa Verde property: Following up on one of the items from the May UCPG meeting, the new Costa Verde re-imagined mixed-use project will come before the Planning Commission on Thursday, September 11. The in-person location of the Planning Commission has changed to the Development Services office at 7650 Mission Valley Road. It is also possible to view the meeting remotely via Zoom and offer public comment if that is more convenient. - Item #6: I have learned that the EdUCate! Foundation for Public School’s Oktoberfest celebration was cancelled due to increased cost and fees, so we will not be attending this event. Apologies for the error.
- Item #7: This is a short information item so Emma Johnson, who presented on this topic in July, can give us an update.
- Item #8: PRJ-1136683, installation of a power supply for a wireless control facility at 4830 1/3 Eastgate Mall. Darien Fleming, Video Voice Data Communications. The presentation is attached at: Power Supply Cabinet installation Proposal

- Item #11: Yasmeen Obeid will give an overview of the Commission on Police Practices as part of this new Commission’s public outreach. She will be available to answer questions regarding joining the commission and participation in public meetings.
