Hello April! University City Community Association (UCCA)’s University City News April 2026 PDF newsletter is here!

Print copies are expected to be available for pickup at public spaces on Governor Drive (at the UC Laundromat, Standley Recreation Center, Cal Coast Credit Union) as early as Friday; for sure this weekend. Print copies are also available at the North University Library on Judicial and at Nobel and Doyle Recreation Center. 

UCCA’s delivery volunteers will begin distribution April 4 and 5.

  • Wednesday, April 1: April PDF Newsletter is now online.
  • Saturday and Sunday, April 4 and 5: April print distribution of the April 2026 University City News begins. Paper copies are available for pickup at the Recreation Centers North Library; and at Cal Coast Credit Union and the UC Laundromat on Governor.
  • 🍩Saturday, April 11: Golden Donut Community Meet with UCCA’s president at the Golden Donut patio near Vons on Governor from 9 to 11 am.
  • Saturday, April 11: Self Defense for Seniors (and for those who have a Senior in the lives) from 2 to 3:30 pm at the Standley Recreation Center, 3585 Governor Drive.
  • 🔥Monday, April 13: Fire Safe Council with Everything you Need to Know about Zone Zero but Were Afraid to Ask at 6 pm via Zoom.
  • Tuesday, April 14: UCPG Planning Group at 6 pm, in person and via Zoom.
  • Friday, April 17: Garden Share at the North University Library at 4 pm.
  • 🌸Saturday, April 18: Garden Club – Pollinators with Master Gardener Sommer Cartier. For more information, contact: Jemma Samala at: jemmasamala@gmail.com
  • Thursday, April 23: Standley Recreation Group at 7 pm at Standley Recreation Center.
  • Friday, April 24: EdUCate’s Taste of the Triangle at Veloce Motors (The Vault) from 7 to 10 pm.
  • Saturday, April 25: Creek to Bay Cleanup to celebrate Earth Day from 9 am to noon.
  • Sunday, April 26: Tai Chi outdoors at Standley Park behind the Pool from 11 am to noon.
  • Wednesday, April 29: UC Celebration (4th of July) planning meeting at 6:30 pm at Standley Recreation Center.
  • Thursday, April 30: City Council District 6 LWV Candidate Forum at University City High School from 6 to 7 pm.
