Share

The University City Fire Safe Council will host a Zoom Meet on Monday, April 13, at 6 pm with the latest information on Zone Zero – the first 5 feet around your home.

Fire agencies recommend removing flammable materials in this area to create a fire break which helps to prevent fire from spreading.

This presentation will start with the New News:

  • The Timeline for Zone Zero Implementation from the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department
  • The 2026 Brush Density audit of the Rose Canyon Rim.
  • The CA Fire Safe Business Directory

In addition, the Fire Safe Council will review the Fire History and High Fire Severity Map for University City; Hardening Your Home to make your home less likely to burn; and Planning for Evacuation to know how to get out of your home and neighborhood.
