The University Community Planning Group (UCPG) will meet Tuesday, June 9, 2026, in hybrid format with Zoom option at 6 PM.

From UCPG Planning Group Chair Chris Nielsen: I’ve attached the agenda for the UCPG meeting on June 9, 2026, at 6PM. I’ve also attached two sets of meeting minutes to approve.

Agenda highlights include:

• Item 6: We begin with a four-home development at 6705 Robbins Way that demolishes a single-family home on a 1.2-acre parcel to develop four single family homes of approximately 0.3 acres each. This project is a Process 5, decision by City Council. Jack Straw, Southern Cross Property Consultants, presenting. • Item 7: Last month we heard an information item for Alexandria’s One Alexandria Square Phase VII project. This month, this project is on the agenda as an action item requesting a recommendation for approval. Mike D’Abrosia, ARE, presenting. • After Pure Water and reports, we will have a discussion of our Fiscal Year 2028 Capital Improvements Project list.
• Item 10:  FY 2028 will begin on July 1, 2027. We’ll begin with our FY 2027 CIP list and discuss additions and subtractions we want to make to this list. Remember that anyone may submit CIP projects to the CIP portal in addition to those we submit as a planning group. Final approval of our revised CIP list will be at the July UCPG meeting. The City uses an Excel spreadsheet to submit the CIP projects; I’ve attached the one I submitted to the City for FY 27 here: 2025_07_31_UCPG_Infrastructure_Priorities_CIP_Form
