Preparedness Month: During September, National Preparedness Month encourages and reminds residents to be prepared for disasters or emergencies in their homes, businesses, and communities.
Monday, September 7: Labor Day – a U.S. federal holiday that honors American workers and marks the unofficial end of summer. It’s a great day to review your emergency preparedness plans.
Adjourned / Cancelled: Tuesday, September 8, 6 pm: UCPG (planning group). The September 8 UCPG planning group meeting has been cancelled. The representatives from the Costa Verde Reimagined property at Nobel and Genesee and from the Fire Safe Council are expected to present at the October UCPG meeting. Wednesday and Thursday, September, 23 and 24 – Miramar Air Show rehearsal days– with sights and sounds of aircraft flying at the Air Station and over the community.
