Caring for Yourself and Others This Holiday Season

Share

For many of us, the holiday season is about both giving and receiving: neighbors helping neighbors, making connections with friends and family, and expressing gratitude and thanks to those we care about. The volunteers at University City Community Association wish you Joy, Love, and Peace and the best this holiday season.

From the County News Center: The holidays are often seen as a joyful time to relax, celebrate and spend time with loved ones. But for many people, this season can also bring stress, sadness and emotional challenges.

There are steps you can take to better care of yourself during the holidays that help ease some stress or difficult feelings.

  • Move your body for 30 minutes a day
  • Take breaks from social media
  • Spend time in nature
  • Meditate or practice yoga
  • Connect with your faith or personal beliefs

If you’re feeling overwhelmed or need someone to talk to, help is available. There is more information from the County News Center at:
