Courtesy of CalCoast: On February 29th, California Coast Credit Union celebrated the opening of its 26th branch at the University City MarketPlace, at 3328 Governor Dr, San Diego, CA 92122. The event, which had approximately 300 people in attendance, featured check donation presentations to the PTAs of University City and the University City Little League. Makana Rowen, a representative from Mayor Faulconer’s office attended and presented a proclamation which deemed February 29, 2020, the official California Coast Credit Union Day. Representatives from Congressman Scott Peter’s office, Assemblyman Todd Gloria’s office, and County Supervisor Kristin Gaspar’s office were also in attendance and presented certificates of recognition. Sunny 98.1 kept the party going with music, a cash cube, concert tickets, and other prizes. The San Diego Humane Society and The Animal Pad brightened everyone’s day by hosting adoption events on site and bringing multiple dogs to play with.

The new branch opened a record number of new accounts for community members during the celebration. Until the end of March, new members at the University City branch are eligible for a $100 offer. Stop by the branch and say hello to learn more about the offer and our other products and services. Cal Coast is excited to be a part of University City and looks forward to continuing to support the community for years to come.
