Who and What is UCCA?

University City Community Association (UCCA) is a volunteer non-profit 501(c)(4) organization funded through membership dues, which provides and promotes the civic, cultural, social, educational and recreational development and improvement in University City (a neighborhood of San Diego, CA).

UCCA provides a forum where the interests of residents may be expressed and contributions made to the protection of life and property in the community. And we are volunteers!

UniversityCityNews.org is the website of UCCA.

Be the Eyes and Ears of UC: The University City Community Association Newsletter is comprised of information sent to the editor. The association does not have reporters, photographers or staff. You are welcome to write and submit articles and story suggestions that pertain to community and residents.

Event Notice!  Due to changing conditions and evolving technologies, events and meetings listed in the print newsletter are subject to change and may have been rescheduled or are held via Zoom or other video conferencing software.

Please check with your event planner or venue for more information.

General Meetings: In 2026, UCCA general meetings will be every other month in person on the third Tuesday of the month at the Library at 4155 Governor Drive from 5:30 to 7:30 PM or at the Standley Recreation Center Center 3585 Governor Drive.

General meetings will be January, March, May, July, September, and November. In addition, UCCA will periodically host special one-topic meetings. Please refer to the current newsletter for the schedule.
