Did you know that University City is celebrating 65 years as a community this year? Check it out at: https://www.universitycitynews.org/history-of-uc/

Hello University City! 🌞  It’s almost September and we’re having a heat wave and a tropical storm and we’re looking forward to the Labor Day weekend. And that’s not all the “new news”!

  • 😱  The Pure Water Project will begin work on the Genesee / Nobel intersection this month.
  • The Library on Governor is temporarily closed for renovations, UCCA is launching a Senior Watch committee and co-hosting an Elder Abuse Seminar, both the planning group and UCCA host public meetings, the Governor Drive water and sewer project continues, and the Air Show returns later this month.

There’s a lot going on in University City and we have your “new news” and “save the date” highlights available here on our web and social sites and in our print newsletter.

  • Support University City News! Many thanks to all of UCCA’s supporters and UCCA paid members, our contributors, and our advertisers who help to cover the costs to keep the University City News in print.
  • Free to read but not free to print. As we all know, many publications charge a fee to read articles on their website. UCCA’s newsletters are free as a University City community resource for everyone … but they are not free to produce and print. If you can make a donation to help us to stay in print, please do so at: https://www.universitycitynews.org/join-ucca-today/
